The Dismemberment Plan is a Washington D.C. based indie rock band formed in 1993. Also known as D-Plan or The Plan, the name comes from a stray phrase uttered by insurance salesman Ned Ryerson in the popular comedy Groundhog Day. The band members included Eric Axelson (bass), Jason Caddell (guitar), Joe Easley (drums) and Travis Morrison (vocals and guitar). The band's most famous effort "Emergeny & I was released in 1999. Although the Dismemberment Plan have famously played two "final" shows, one at the 9:30 Club 2003 and one at the Black Cat in 2007, they have recently begun touring again. Throughout their career the band has played some of their most popular shows at Fort Reno Park.
